So glad I bought this lamp! My acupuncturists use these lamps for warming my back. I sought acupuncture treatment for chronic pain. I decided that since the heat was so beneficial to me at the clinic, I would buy one to use at home. Improvements I noticed after the FIRST use: #1. My sinuses are very susceptible to cold and I must always wear a hat outdoors to keep my head warm. I noticed an improvement and a lessening of pressure in my sinuses while indoors. #2. My face looked like I had undergone a facelift! Usually, my facial muscles respond to exercise like biking, etc...that I attribute to increased circulation, but in the winter I cannot go biking in the cold temperatures of the North East. My face was showing a lot of wear, and age since I had been stuck inside most of the summer due to an excessive work load. To my GREAT surprise, I woke up the next morning looking at a much younger me! Wow! This lamp is powerful. I am using it on my neck now to see if the crepe paper appearance will go away...so far so good! I did not buy this lamp in the hopes it would make me look younger, but that is a marvelously unexpected perk! I can't wait to try more experiments with it! I like the portable aspect of the smaller table size lamp. The head will reach a 360 degree radius, and that is fantastic for optimum positioning! So far I am really impressed! Well worth the price! Very beneficial to my health! My shoulders, neck, and back are pain free! I will save money by not having to go to acupuncture appointments as often b/c I use this at home. My advice to buyers is this: If you respond well to heat treatment either hot tub, lamps, moist heat packs, microwave heated packs....you will probably respond well to this type also. That is my experience. I am in my fifties. I only use the lamp at a level that feels good on my skin. If a spot gets too hot, I move it to another location...
