I was using another acupuncture pen. While it was effective, the built quality was not the best. I got shocked just by holding the device and it was very uncomfortable. And then the battery door would not open so I could not change batteries, so byebye.I decided to give this one a try despite the fact that it looks a lot more complicated and bulkier than what I had. But it proves to be a lot more sophisticated and performs much better.Tips:- Watch the operation video. Understand that the hand holding the device needs to touch the two metal plates, and the other hand needs to hold the conductive bar so it will function. Otherwise the current will not go through- Use gel. Conductive gel will do, but Aloe Vera gel is a lot cheaper and is just effective, with added moisturizing benefit- Go slow and low at first. Don't be greedy and give yourself an electrical shock- Google and search for Pressure Points or Meridian Points map. That will help you locate them easier and fasterThe device is big and might be challenging for smaller hands. Just practice and find the correct and comfortable holding position. I like that it comes with a beauty probe for face. The pain relief effect is quite noticeable (usually after a 10 minutes session the pain is almost gone for me), the beauty effect on the other hand will take a longer time with regular use to notice.I also like that it is chargeable with micro USB cable. I charged it with my phone cable and it works.Overall I like this device. If you have pain and are familiar with TENS devices and sensations, you should give this a try.
