I wanted to write a review, because this guy doesn't get as much credit as a lot of the other more heavily advertised at-home microdermabrasion systems. Also, I purchased it off of the actual website, not Alisa.

First of all, I was worried about the tear drop design, but it's way smaller than you'd think it is from any of the pictures. It fits in the palm of your hand and isn't hard to control. I think a wand would be easier to maneuver with, but hey, it's the highest quality microdermabrasion device you'll get for this price, so I don't mind that it's a little awkward.

Secondly, my advice would be to not follow the "automatic" setting, and do it your own way. I am in my early twenties, and my concerns are mostly acne scars, large pores, occasional breakouts, and fine lines. I used to have major acne, and because of this, skin care is a huge splurge area for me. I've gotten many sessions of both IPL and microdermabrasion over the last couple of years, so I know what professional quality is.

And let me say, I WISH I knew about this sooner! I could've saved hundreds of dollars. It pays for itself in just a few goes, and after that it's like you have unlimited free microderms. The quality level is about the same as the esthetician I've been going to for a year, who I love! But her office is busy and I could only do sessions about once 5 weeks, when you're supposed to do it every two weeks for optimal results. Microdermabrasion is like digging a hole, and you need to get at it before the skin is completely healed if you really want to reveal that new skin underneath. So I am so excited to do this on my own time, and I'm sure I'll end up with even better results than at the professional office.

Because I know how she does it, I mimicked her techniques. I couldn't imagine doing my whole face in the four minutes it allots you on automatic mode. If anyone says it isn't professional quality, it's because of how they're wielding it. I like to take my time. On level 1 or 2 I'll thoroughly make two or three passes on my face. (Maybe don't try this if microdermabrasion is new to you, I just knew my skin could handle it) and after one day, my skin looked really nice and clear and soft! I just did it for the second time, with only one day in between. I'll start doing it twice a week after this first week, because it's not good to overdo it, but I was just so excited with my results after the first session that I wanted to go again.

Now, I've saved the bad part for last. The tip is really difficult to use on my forehead, because there's not as much skin for it to grab onto. Even on level 3, it wasn't attaching to the skin. This is frustrating, and I somehow ended up giving myself the hickey/bruises that everyone warns about. I wasn't really more rough with my forehead than I was on other parts of my face, but for whatever reason my forehead didn't react well. Besides the icky bruises, the rest of my skin was still worth giving it a five star review, so take that as you will. I'm not sure how to get that area good and not bruise it, so I'll be trying to figure that out. Other than that, very excited about this lil guy.

So I have only used the NEWDERMO Microderm once (last night) and I already see a difference after waking up this morning. I washed my face, put the mode on manual (the auto setting didn't give me enough time) and worked my entire face. Per the instructions, I went over each area only twice. My skin is pretty sturdy, so I was able to jump right to level 3 with no pain or issues. I just turned 40 and have always looked young for my age with almost no wrinkles/lines or sun spots. My biggest complaint with my skin is a small area of orange-peel like texture between my eyebrows, enlarged pores on my nose, and very recently got a few "milia" on both sides of my face near the jaw line. That little white bump on your face is not a zit. It won't pop (I've tried). And, annoyingly enough, it won't go away. No, those bumps aren't pimples. They are another type of blemish called milia. Milia are white to yellowish, hard, raised bumps on the skin. They almost look like a grain of sand trapped just under the skin's surface. They are generally pretty small, but I loathe the bumps and they stand out so much when I put makeup on. The milia areas I treated last night have reduced in size by half! The pores on my nose look smaller and cleaner. I cannot wait until my next treatment, which I am going to do in 3 days to let my skin heal.FYI - I applied Tru Skin Vitamin C serum after my treatment and let that dry, then applied Hera Nature Rose Antioxidant Bulgarian Essential Oil, 100% Pure, in Jojoba & Rosehip Oil (bought on Alisa) and slept with the oil on. My skin feels so soft and looks radiant! If you are on the fence about getting this device, don't be!

I just tried out my NEWDERMO Microderm and all I can say is that it left my skin feeling fantastic. I’ll be honest my skin hasn’t been looking it’s best in months especially with this past winter weather. So, I looked into different microdermabrasion products for home use. Let me say I own a PMD & it works fine, but it wasn’t really cost effective for long term. You have to change the tip after 3-4 uses. The tips are about $20. I should have done my home beforehand.

I saw the NEWDERMO Microderm and seen reviews on it. One of the things I like most is that the replacement head suppose to last 3 months that’s using it 2-3 times a week.

My skin felt noticeably smoother. When I cleaned the unit, I couldn’t believe how much dead skin was on the filter after one use!

This product works as advertised. In hindsight, I would probably be better off by buying the mini version as it comes with a suction tip as well and the suction power is in between the ones of this machine, for a fraction of the price. I like how it makes my skins feel smoother and healthier, but I cannot testify about long term usage as I have used it only 3 times. I’ll update (if I remember to) once I used it for a longer period.

My skin was starting to get dull and textured and were i live spa treatments are crazy expensive. I decided to give this tool a try. I noticed a huge improvement in my skin texture. Religiously used it at least twice a week and moved up to the highest level of suction. After over a year of heavy use the tool suddenly lost suction. It is very difficult to get Alisa where I am so I could not get a replacement right away. I decided to break the too open it is then that I realized the tool still had suction. I put it back together and put the head on and the suction was weak again. It was when I realized the diamond head had loosened from the plastic bit. When I tightened it the suction came back!! Love this tool and highly recommend it. Will be buying a backup just in case mine breaks for real.
