It works but requires time and patience. I’m finishing month 3 and I see significant improvement. I use this for two cycles twice a day. One day you notice the fungus is growing out but it takes a few months. Few more weeks should do it. I’m using the laser in conjunction with an oregano based oil by Foot Cure. Can’t say which is more effective but the combination seems to be getting the job done.Between Week 15 and Week 28 I really wanted to polish them and slacked off and the nail didn’t grow out as nicely as it had been. Don’t be me. Keep at it! I’m back to two cycles a day I’m conjunction with the oregano oil. |

I am completely against the harmful drugs used to kill toe fungus so I've searched for years for an alternative, and like many of you, had tried everything possible...to no avail.Recently I read they're now using laser treatments in podiatrists offices to clear nail fungus. Excited, my balloon quickly deflated when I found it would take several in-office treatments at over 1K per treatment, which insurance didn't cover. Since I'm not Jeff Bezos I couldn't afford that, so quickly let go of that dream. However, It occurred to me to search for a laser device online and lo and behold, I found this device created just for toe fungus!!!The unit arrived and I immediately began using it twice per day, two 7 minute cycles for each treatment (14 minutes in the morning, 14 minutes in the afternoon). No instructions came with the unit, so it was all trial and error. The unit worked for a month without "needing" a charge, but I began to feel it was losing its "strength" because when I first began using it my toe felt warm afterwards, and I was no longer experiencing that. So, I learned to plug it in to recharge it once or twice a week (even before the unit wouldn't turn on due to lack of charge), and now my toe experiences that toasty feeling after treatment again. I'm beginning to see pink, clear nail growing out of the nail bed. So exciting!!!FYI, I don't think everything is known about how nail fungus is transmitted and I recently heard from a dermatologist that she believes that it can be transmitted when you file the infected nail(s) and inhale the micro-dust in the air. This means that if you're filing your infected nail around your family there's a chance of them becoming infected or you re-infecting yourself or other toes. No more filing for me! I'd rather be safe than sorry. Now I just clip the nail as short as possible.Like others say, diligence is required. Use daily without fail and expect it to take a long time as nails grow out slowly. I will continue to use it for a while after I have a completely clear nail just to give that extra boost to kill of any fungus spores that may still be hiding under the nail bed. I'm also adding back in a natural nail fungus liquid brush on that had not worked all on its own--but it might help kill more fungus along with the laser. My toes are pretty straightforward, but I agree that if you have a huge infection or the sides of your nails are digging into your toes, etc., that you might need to cut away as much infected nail as possible and add some good scrubbing with a disinfectant in the shower. Give the laser every chance you can to get into every nook and cranny of your infected toe, ESPECIALLY around the nail bed where new nail is formed.I'm so happy that soon I will have clear, pink, pretty toes once again! |
