My original review is below, but here is an update: a representative from DEESS pointed me to a video on how to plug it in, then hold the button for five seconds until the green lights show up, then hit the button up to five times for how strong you want the laser light, then go ahead and click the button just for a second on your skin, then again, and again...and again. Yes, a bit confusing when there is only one button for all these options. I use mine at level 2, and I have been using it for only a week so I have no hair-removal progress to report yet. But it sure seems like it is working and I plan to use up all those flashes! Thanks, DEESS for following up! Change that one-star to a five-star!My original review:The laser light dors not turn on, although the red and green lights do, and act as if something is happening. I emailed them but it came back, saying it is not a correct email address. So now I feel foolish for spending around 150$ for a useless item. Any suggestions? Anybody else have this problem?

Really does work after a few times. Love that they include different laser attachments for different uses. Saw a major difference in my hair density in only 4 times of use and the company is very attentive and helpful.

For anyone who doesn't know, this is an IPL hair removal device. You should shave first, then set the unit power, I like to leave it on 3-4. Not recommended if you have darker skin or blonde hair.

Then, fire the unit about 3-4 times per square of skin, then move it a half inch and do it again! You should do it about once every week or two for a few months until you see results. Hair grows in cycles, so you have to do it over time so you can hit all the active follicles.

The unit has 330000 flashes, which is honestly enough for a couple years.
