In the future I would have 1 (see 2) switch 8 ports in, I already know where to look first

This is a very reasonably priced little switch. All the RJ45 ports work at 2.5G with no issue. I have checked the SFP+ port by installing a 10G copper SFP module. I do not have any other equipment capable of 10G speeds, but it works at least at 5G. One small problem is that I do not understand the light on the SFP port. There is no explanation in the manual, and the middle light always blinks, even if there is nothing in the SFP port and no other ports connected. I did not use the original KeepLiNK SFP, but a third-party Qiniyek marked 'x003rkejfn BJ-SFP-10G-T for Cisco', which worked without problem.
